Living in Jerome Village, Plain City Ohio: A Resident's Honest Take

By Amy Warren, Ohio REALTOR®

Trails for days, neighbors who actually know your name, and top-rated schools. Welcome to Jerome Village.

People ask me all the time what it's really like living in Jerome Village, so as a resident, not just an agent who sells here, here is my honest take.

The Community Is What Surprises People Most

This is not a neighborhood where garage doors close and everyone disappears. There are block parties, pool days, kids riding bikes in packs, and neighbors who show up for each other. It has that small-town feel even though you are minutes from everything in Dublin and Columbus. For a lot of buyers coming from more anonymous suburbs, that is the part that actually sells them, not the floor plan.

Trails for Days

Seriously, you could walk or bike for miles without repeating a path. Jerome Village includes roughly 600 acres of green space and close to 15 miles of trails and bike paths, and a lot of that network ties directly into the 1,000-acre Glacier Ridge Metro Park next door. Green space is everywhere, and it makes a real difference in daily life, especially with kids or dogs.

Homes for a Lot of Different Budgets and Stages of Life

Homes here range widely, generally from the mid-$300,000s up into $1 million or more, so there is genuinely something for a lot of different budgets and stages of life. You will find first move-up buyers, growing families, and custom builds all within the same community, which keeps it from feeling like a single cookie-cutter phase of construction.

And the Schools Speak for Themselves

Jerome Village is zoned for Dublin City Schools, which consistently ranks among the top districts in Central Ohio. That is a big reason families keep choosing this area. Students typically attend Abraham Depp Elementary School, Eversole Run Middle School, and Dublin Jerome High School, all within about a mile of the community, so it is a genuinely short commute for drop-off and pickup.

Why I Am Not Going Anywhere

I moved my own family here, and I am not going anywhere. When clients ask me to be honest about a neighborhood, this is the one where I do not have to work hard to find the good in it. It is the trails, the schools, and mostly the neighbors, the way people actually show up for each other here that keeps us here.
